I've gotten a few questions about the title of this blog. I was a bandleader in B'klyn and much of my work was with the mafia. I played the inaugural party for "The Italian American Civil Rights League" with Joe Colombo and many more events for the mafia. I did see some crazy stuff and met some well known mafia members such as Hugh "Apples" MacIntosh (Colombo's most feared enforcer), Carmine "The Snake' Persico, and even Sammy "The Bull" Gravano. In my life Music and Mafia went hand in hand. I'm saving the best for my book. See you soon
